This weekend’s required listening comes from a Latin Jazz master leading a group of young musicians through an amazing collection of music – Eddie Palmieri And His Afro-Caribbean Jazz All-Stars. This is a full concert from the group recorded at the 2013 Festival de Jazz Latino Clazz. It features a number of Palmieri classics, such as Palmas, Slowvisor, and more. These songs are brought to life by a group of unbelievable musicians, including Palmieri himself on piano, Luques Curtis on bass, Little Johnny Rivero on congas, Jose Claussel on timbales, and more. There’s well over an hour of music here that worth multiple views this weekend – so enjoy!
